History is full of turning points, pivotal moments that mark our lives in such a way that a corner is turned and things don’t stay the same. As a University student, while living in London, England, many seeds were planted that when watered and nurtured, grew up in to turning points.
And this site is, in a way, watering those seeds and caring for the flowers that have grown since my time living at Bedford Place in Central London. My plan is to explore the transformative impact of stories and how stories shape us, mold us, and frame so much of our life. I also want to continue to grow in my understanding of grace, which is unique to the Christian faith and truly amazing in its implications and applications. And finally, I want to engage with culture in such a way that we encourage one another to think deeply, but also act creatively.
If these things interest you, then you’ll find some items of interest here that may be helpful, useful, and simply thoughtful. Hopefully, you’ll pick up a new book as a result of this site or strike up a conversation at a local coffee shop because you read something of value. Maybe you’ll seek to experience this thing called grace and maybe you’ll sit down and write a compelling story because, well, it’s a fun thing to do.
In a real way, I am curious as to where this site takes us both. I am a work in progress and I don’t have all this figured out. I am also interested in learning if any of this stuff is engaging enough to be read, shared, and looked at and I suppose time will tell. Perhaps, Albert Camus said it well when he stated: “Don’t walk behind me; I may not lead. Don’t walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend.” And so, we’ll see where this walk takes us….thanks for the company.
